Sustainability curbed by thoughtful pragmatism continues to drive me to provide Energy Auditing Services on the Gulf Islands and Lower/Middle Vancouver Island region. l am a BCIT Graduate of the SEMAC Program, Red Seal Carpenter (30 years), TECA qualified for F- 280 / Heat Loss /Heat Gain and recently took a TECA duct sizing design course. This training coupled with my vast amount of experience understanding how our built environments work, will assist me in helping homeowners to take maximum advantage of the energy upgrade opportunities that are available through the various levels of Governance. Michel’s experience and knowledge of home energy efficiency was built in Victoria over the past 7 year. From simple to complex vintage character homes, he has audited over 700 homes. He has also built is own home and is very familiar with home construction. There are often a variety of issues to solve and different approaches to resolving them.
With a wealth of life experience and a variety of careers from general contracting – finance to home energy efficiency, Michel enjoys problem solving and communicating solutions and options for homeowners.
While applying the concept of the “House as a System” Michel will provide an unbiased review and recommend practical upgrades, prioritized according to best value and the homeowners’ objectives.
