Heritage Energy Retrofit Grant
2015 – Ongoing
The Heritage Energy Retrofit Grant, is a program launched by the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, in partnership with the City of Vancouver. The initiative is designed to assist homeowners with energy retrofits and water efficiency measures while conserving the heritage fabric and character elements of their homes. The program is for oil and gas heated homes built prior to 1940 and aims to reduce energy and water consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. City Green has been contracted to assist with this program prior to renovations by completing the pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation, water efficiency opportunities checklist, and GHG Reduction Opportunities Report, for participating homes. After renovations are complete, City Green completes the post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation and water efficiency checklist, and calculates the GHG reductions and rebate amount achieved. City Green has completed over 100 EnerGuide home evaluations for participants of the Heritage Energy Retrofit Program.
